Visit to National Rebabilitation Hospital

The Dublin Roses visited the National Rehab Hospital in Dun Laoghaire as part of the Dublin Rose Center activities this year. A great evening was had meeting the Staff, Patients and families. Night Out at the Theatre

The Dublin Roses recently attended the hit broadway musical "The Producers". The show was put on by the Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society who generously hosted the girls at their opening night alongside such luminaries as the one and only Gay Byrne and world boxing champion Bernard Dunne. Rumour has it that Gayb0 was giving a few tips to some of the Roses, but no further details are available at this time :-)

Mini Marathon Roses 2009

Hannah McDonnell and a selection of the 2009 Dublin Roses ran the Dublin Mini-Marathon at the weekend in Support of Enable Ireland. Well done to all !!

Down Syndrome Ireland - Fundraising with the Dublin Roses

Dublin Escort Launch 2009

Brendan Galvin was on hand this week with the enviable task of being joined by the current Leitrim, Galway and Mayo Roses in the Phoneix Park to launch this years Escort Competition in Dublin.

The Dublin Rose Centre is offering all young gentlemen between the ages of 21 to 30 a great opportunity to become this year's Dublin Escort of the Year. The prize is anexperience of a lifetime, to escort in this years 50th International Rose of Tralee, all expenses paid (worth €2500).

Dublin Rose Escort entrants will be required to pay €100 entry fee. Conditions and event details etc can be found by contacting the Dublin Committee (Details below). The Dublin Rose Final is a fabulous event itself and a great night is guaranteed. Over 50 roses will be reduced to 20 finalists by means of selection night heats around Dublin and will end with the 2009 Dublin Rose and Dublin Escort of the year being crowned.

A number of the current Dublin Rose Contestants had an enjoyable night recently at the opening night of the acclaimed Broadway musical "The Producers", courtesy of the Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society. 

The Next Main event for the girls will be the biggest event of all , the Dublin Rose Gala Ball , taking place in CityWest Hotel on Sat May 18th.

The Dublin Rose of Tralee Committee are delighted to launch their new website. 

This should prove a valuable tool for anyone associated in any way with the Dublin Rose Center and Rose of Tralee in general to keep up to date with "Rose Matters" in Dublin. 

Feedback is especially welcomed at this early stage for the new website, so please feel free to contact us via the Contact page with your comments and suggestions.

For those applying to become Roses or Escorts please click on the links via the Home Page or on the "Application Process" page link at the top of each page. Applications are now open for the Dublin Rose Center Selections for 2009. Interested applications are encouraged to get their applications in early.
